Default No Audio with Quicktime through Digi002

I am unable to hear any audio when playing back any Quicktime movies. Windows Media Player works fine. Is there a setting that I need to make sure I have checked in the MIME settings of Quicktime?
I have Quicktime listed on the Digi MME Helper. I still would like to have WMP as the default player. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance.

I'm not on my Music PC but try this. Open a Quicktime Player.
Go to EDIT/PREFERENCES/QUICKTIME PREFERENCES/ Then from the dropdown box select "Sound Out"
From the "Choose a device for playback" dropdown box select the DIGI Box your using.
I'm not positive if this works, but I vaguely remember setting my old PC like this.

I found the Sound Out Setting and changed it to "waveOut Digidesign Digi002:channele 1-2" but still no sound. Is it because the Digi ASIO driver is not available to choose from?
I can get sound through any other application such as Acid, WMP, Real Player, etc, but still not with Quicktime.

Thanks

Open QuickTime and in the QuickTime program select your Digidesign hardware for playback and increase the buffer size. You don't need to change your system sound settings.

Increase the buffer size from __30__ to ________?

Mine is set to default at 30 when I open up the quicktime preferences.

Of course, I have not figured out how to get windows media files to play audio either.

Default RAIL???

Hey Rail,
I have te same issues with this. Increased the buffer to 512 and still nada. The 002 says that it is working, but no sound. Media player is fine. I also notice that when I try to play some files that open a quicktime player it too does not play in the browser. Not a huge deal, but still wondering what changed?

Which version of iTunes and QuickTime?

I'm swamped in a session all week... but'll look into this later if you don't find a cure. Should work fine... make sure nothing else is hogging the driver.. only one app can use the hardware at a time.. so try disabling system sounds.
