Re: Pro tools 2020.12 released
Been working fine here what little I've used it. Would be nice if senghor elaborated on his problem. Like what is he doing when it crashes?

Re: Pro tools 2020.12 released
Just a quick follow-up of my previous postings regarding Pro Tools V2020.12 and its incompatibility with the latest version of Windows 10.
I have had an inquiry on the AVID support site regarding this issue for FOURTEEN DAYS. There has been no response from AVID support despite my entering three requests for review of case number 04084923. My support request was completely filled in and the situation described in detail. Is this the normal response from these people? ...and we actually PAY for support like this?????? |

Re: Pro tools 2020.12 released
Support is included in the plan renewal. Wish it was separate and pay for updates independently from the support (which I don’t use)

Re: Pro tools 2020.12 released
There used to be platinum support which came at a premium. Lately you have to submit a support ticket and pay for telephone support per incident. The support plan is for updates. No pay no play.

Re: Pro tools 2020.12 released
Just in case that simple uninstall/reinstall trick doesn't work for some folks, here's my story. Mac. Mojave 10.14.6. Had been running PT 2020.11 ultimate... no problems for a long time. Suddenly had an issue where bouncing gave an error message saying the USB drive I always use wasn't a recordable drive. So I trashed the prefs and tried it again. Same issue. So I thought I might as well update to 2020.12. What could go wrong? Did so and after restart and launching, PT quit after loading nearly all plugins. It quit on iZotope plugs. First was Neutron, so I uninstalled that and restarted. Next time it was Ozone. So I removed and restarted. This went on through all of the many iZotope plugins. I own them all. But no matter the iZotope plug in, the problem child was always one with the word HOOK in its title. Like iZRX6AmbienceMatchhook or iZOzone8DynamicEQAAXHook. And on and on every time I uninstalled plugs and restarted. Finally, when all of the iZotope plugins had been uninstalled, PT finally launched. It's working but I am without my iZotope stuff which I use daily. So I'm torn. Do I uninstall 2020.12 and reinstall 2020.11? Or now just try to reinstall iZotope since PT actually loaded? And was this an iZotope thing or was it because I didn't uninstall 2020.11 before updating to 2020.12? Oy!

I had exactly the same problem! easy fix is: take all your izotoüe plugins out of the plugins folder - then startup protools - quit protools - put your izotope plugins back into the folder - startup protools - now it should workj with the izotope stuff in there too |
