Question Metering LKFS Options

What are my plugin options in protools for measuring LKFS besides Dolby Media Meter 2? Haven't had time to browse around lately, would be nice to have a list somewhere.

After weighing the options I went with the DMM2.

The Nugen guys are working on some awesome functionality - like offline batch processing and correction. Their plug is also the most complete solution with the most flexibility and will be the only one stop solution for loudness measurement, monitoring and correction. Very reasonably priced too.

One to watch

It's also a lot lighter on your CPU than DMM.

Considering they do the same job, I wonder where all the extra resources are going in DMM? Maybe it's just fat, bloated inefficient code. :-P

I have detected that you do not have a penchant for "bloaty code" from your other postings too

Can this plug measure the actual "dialnorm" as stipulated by Dolby? What hapens when the broadcasters says "we want dialnorm at -27" and the broadcasters themselves have the real Dolby DMM to measure against? Some people say that dialnorm is dead but, where I am these specification remain in the audio deliverables for years. The concern is that if one HAS to match a specific number as measured by the DMM plugin can the Nugen considered a fully compatible and acceptable alternate to the DMM?

My vote is for Nugen!
