Default 11.2.2 Update Procedure Question.

It has been so long since I updated I cant remember.

I unstall PT 11 Then uninstall Air Creative Collection Then Uninstall Avid Virtual Instruments.

Then on Installation Repeat this Process except install PT 11.2.2 first then the Air Creative Collection the install the AVID Virtual Instruments.

What is the best way to do this?

Thank you.

No you don't have to uninstall any virtual instruments. You can just uninstall PT11 then install the update.

Personally I just popped the 11.2.2 update right on top of 11.2.1, but that's not the officially supported way. I like to live dangerously I guess

Installing on top doesn't really save any time.

When I did an install without first un-installing the previous version, I found that not all of PT had updated. The new install acted more like an update and left some components of the previous version unchanged, so a clean install is the way to go.

Ditto on only uninstalling Pro Tools, but DO select to also uninstall the HD driver, NO MATTER WHAT your system is(HD or not). You must, must, must check to remove the driver as well

Also if one is on PTHD, I see that the 11.2.2 update needs to have the HD driver installed separately (Separate Download).

Not sure if that's a new requirement, but I haven't done it before.
