Default Host Processors

What is the real issue with this host processor settings. When I insert an instance of Bluecat frequency analysis or mostly any other third party plugins i get a -9104 error with Host Processor set to two. When I set it to one processor the error stops but there is more usage on my CPU meter.

It is confusing. My understanding is that when PT is set to use all processors, things that run outside PT's space, like many 3rd-party plug-ins, don't have enough processor power available to them. Something like that. I don't understand the exact mechanism so I might not be saying it in a technically correct way. The rule of thumb I've picked up by osmosis around here is, assign PT an odd number of processors, and if you get errors, change it to a different odd number. Doesn't hurt to try a different number anyway.
