Default Clock Internal or External

Hi all, just puchased a Motu 8pre to use via ADAT with my 002R, this is probably new purchase paranoia but i noticed when using the external clock a few clicks here and there (Clock is set to ADAT and External). Using the internal clock i seem to be encountering some unexpected -6097 errors. I only have a few audio tracks and a few plugs, CPU meter is hardly off the starting blocks.

Any ideas?

manually set the sample rate and bit depth on the motu to match your PT session.

Hi the bit rates match, if the 002 is master then the motu will follow suite. If Motu is master then you manually set Pro Tools to match the bit rate, my point ideally was which method is better if any???

And more to the point i'm just a bit worried about -6097's if Pro Tools is the clock master, this is my preferred method as i don't always use the ADAT so idon't have to keep going and changing the settings all the time.

Why don't you use Motu as the master all the time, it's probably a better clock than 002.
