PT 6.2.3 crashes when changing buses?

My new system with 002R crashes when I do very simple things like just changing the buses.

I'm running:
G4 Dual 1.25ghz
1.25 gig RAM
2 x 80gb IDE Drives
1 x LaCie Firewire Drive
OS 10.3.3
002R with PT 6.2.3
Plugins installed: Digirack, Bomb Factory, Amplitube, Sampletank L, T-racks EQ, Ableton Live, Waves Ren.

Here's what I do to get it to crash and it happens every time:

- Create new 24bit, 44.1khz session, .wav with PC/Mac compatibility
- Create 4 audio tracks, 2 stereo tracks, 4 stereo aux tracks, 1 mono aux track (for click), 1 master track
- Create 1 RVerb insert on Aux 1
- Assign Aux 1,2,3,4 inputs as Bus 1,2,3,4
- Hold Alt and assign bus sends to Aux 1 for all channels
- Create Click insert on Aux 5 (click)
- Turn on metronome
- Hit play (metronome audible)
- Turn up the bus send for Click - to RVerb

*CRASH* - PT 6.2.3 has unexpectedly quit.

- Will either happen straight away at this point, or will not happen instantly, but do funny things (like not hear the reverb on the Click, and then crash).

I have a clean install of Panther, clean install of PT. I have repaired permissions about 6 times, while installing various plug-ins. I have tried trashing the volume.db. After loading the new session up again (after the crash), it will then always crash up on loading the session. Guaranteed.

I have now also tried trashing the prefs, reloading PT, creating a new user account and reinstalling PT to that account. I've also tried taking out the plug-ins from the Digidesign plug-ins folder, and just leaving the basic ones in. The crash still happens with D-Verb as in insert so its not to do with 3rd party plug ins.

I've now completely deleted 10.3.3 and re-installed with 10.3.2 as recommended by Tech support.

I did the same test, after fresh install of 10.3.2 and 6.2.2, and got the same crash.

Just need to create that session, play with a few inserts and boom, it unexpectedly quits.

Please help!!!!! I just want to make music and haven't had a stable system since frikkin OS 9.

That, in a way, is bad, because I was hoping it was a fault with my Mac, and was about to send it back to the suppliers.

I've tried taking RAM out now, and tried various different chips, same crash on all chips.

Radioking - did you mean you are getting the same problem before you read my post, or have re-created my situation and then got the crash?

I could not recreate your problem. But do you make a send on the aux1, to aux1?? I don't see the point in doing that, but I did it exactly as you described, but nothing happens on my setup. It just plays the click with some verb on it.
But is your system running ok if you're working normally?

Hi Tubz thanks for trying. I find that I have to play with it a while. If it works after playing with it for 5 minutes or so, ie taking of Verbs, adding Verbs, adding EQ to Verbs etc, and still hasn't crashed, I'll close the session and make a new one, then it crashes.

It runs ok running Salvation, and other old sessions I had. I just don't know what the problem is. I thought it was my Mac, then someone here said they had the same problem. I'm not sure what to do now. I could ring tech support but they never seem much use.
