With my very new iMac i7 and the PT9 crossgrade, my MBox Pro isn't functioning: Headphone A only gives audio in the left, Headphone B doesn't produce any audio at all, and the front panel buttons (mono, spkr and dim.mute) don't work at all.

I have the—almost exact—same issues with my Mbox Pro, except I am on PT 8 LE and a Macbook. My master volume knob has been occasionally unresponsive as well. It's incredibly frustrating.

So, having just bought this not inexpensive hardware, I'm astonished (and I'm being very polite) to find out that I'd actually have to pay for support from AVID to report a problem with their own product!!

Yeah, I had a moment as well when I found this out. Not $40 for "premium" support, but $40 for ANY support. When you register the product you are given a complimentary code for one phone call (which I used to find out why my Mbox wouldn't power on when I received it—interior power cable not connected) and 10 online cases; I just have to hope they can solve everything in 10 tries or less.
I really love the idea of the Mbox but I'm very frustrated that I sold my other interface to purchase one. I've passed my return window for it but I'm looking into returning this directly to Avid and purchasing something with a better track record and better support, like the Metric Halo UL-2 or an RME.
For what it's worth, I owned a rock-solid pre-Avid Digi 002 before this, which I only sold because of the Mbox's better portability.
