Default ilok license manager install freezes my computer

This happens every single time that I try to install it. I get 95% of the way through the install of Ilok License Manager (64bit), and when I get a Windows security screen "always trust content from Pace etc... (check box)" Click accept, and the computer locks up, requiring a hard shut down/ restart. This has been going on for weeks now. On two different brand new computers! Pace has NEVER responded to my requests for support. How ridiculous! My recording studio is down hard because of a broken 3rd party (Pace) app. Please help Avid!! These computers (high end) have had their hard drives wiped clean (all zeros), fresh installs of Windows 8.1 Pro. And, the situation is absolutely repeatable on both of them. It happens each and every time I try to install ILM. I'm at wits end. In browsing the forums, I see that I am not the only one who has/is experiencing this. Ron BTW ... in each and every other aspect, the computers run just fine!

Might be worth trying by right-click on the Setup file and choose Run as Admin

Sounds like a security issue with Win 8, maybe the app isn't properly signed for 8. I've never had a problem on Win 7 with the latest ILM having installed it on 2 PCs recently.
