Re: Best SYstems and Components for Win HD/TDM
Are those HD PCI cards you are using? or PCI-e cards?

Re: Best SYstems and Components for Win HD/TDM
Hello,
If they were PCI-e though (I can't speak for others but I believe they are not)... I think PCI-e on XP is unsupported at this time. Len |

Re: Best Systems and Components for Win HD/TDM
Has anyone tried any of this with a lowly 3800-939/x2? I have a 3Gb ASUS A8N-DL SLI/GeForce 6200 Video and couldn't get it to work with my HD1/7.0 system - boot failures and pretty blue screens. Is this possible? Ideas?

Re: Best Systems and Components for Win HD/TDM
Can I ask if anyone knows whether the Quadzilla system Shane built is capable of running an HD4 setup?
It looks like I'm being forced into a quick system build due to issues with our current rig, and this looks like the best high-power option at the moment .... unless there's information on working Xeon (Woodcrest) or Core Duo systems I've missed. Many thanks for any feedback or advice. Jules |

Re: Best Systems and Components for Win HD/TDM
Any update on PCIe? Who has a working PCIe system? Please post your parts.
Myself, I need to build an HD 1 system. Here's what I'm thinking of getting. http://www.cty.ca/system_customize.asp?205

Re: Best Systems and Components for Win HD/TDM
Hi!
No update on HD PCIe for XP yet. I would imagine word should surface at or by AES, since it is such a big show. Just a guess... Since PT seems to favour certain chipsets, I would seriously consider waiting until Digi announces the intial compatible boards/systems to see which chipsets are qualified...unless you have the cash and time to start experimenting. In that case, I would opt for an Mbox (used, for less $$$) with the first test board until XP is ready for HD PCIe. Then you can sell the Mbox, or keep it as a prtable solution.

Re: Best Systems and Components for Win HD/TDM
Hi Guys,
I'm currently setting up a win hd 2 accel system on a supermicro H8DCI mobo. So far everything went ok, but there seems to be a problem with the Accel card... When a plug in loads to the Accel card, the output is accompanied by lots of white noise. (both cards are in PCI-X slots, the Core is in the first PCI-X 133 slot, the Accel card in the second PCI-X 133 slot) When running digitest, I get the following error: TDMII Flex cable test (bus B DSP I Failed: expected 11EE11h actual 11EC11h) (just to be sure) I ordered a new Flexcable...hope that solves the problem Anyone seen (heard) this problem before?

Re: Best Systems and Components for Win HD/TDM
Hello,
I would also see if the Accel card passes Digitest without the flex cable installed/connected (which it should if the card is okay). You've probably done this but make sure the cable is connected properly. Port B on the core card to port A on the Accel card. I've had a couple flex cables fail in the past so??? (they are also extremely delicate). Good luck! len |

Re: Best Systems: ANRF vs ANRF-RS
So, I just ordered a 2877ANRF-RS from Newegg, and noticed that there are ANRF boards & ANRF-RS boards. What's the difference? Is this a problem for Quadzillas?
Although the specs from Antares & Newegg seem the same, the Newegg one specifies -RS, and the 2877ANRF-RS is listed a little differently on the TYAN page. Whazzup? TIA, therm |
