Default PT 10.3.6 & 11 Question.

Hi Guys,

A quick few questions.

Is 10.3.6 still placing automation breakpoints all over the place like 10.3.4 was?

and if I install 10.3.6 and then 11, will 10 continue to work? because when I logge into my account it looked like it was going to remove my PT10 licence and give me a PT11 one.

Cheers.

PT 11 is a bundled license, you will receive PT 10 and PT 11 ilok assets but will have to surrender PT 10 license. The PT 10 license will still authorize PT 10 and has authorized PT 10.3.4 and the current 10.3.6 so no issues using PT10 and of coarse you will also be able to authorize 11

For Co-Install you will need to update to 10.3.6 and then install PT 11

or you can just install both versions on different computers if you wish

Installation order does not matter for a system with v10.3.6 and v11.

Could you please be more specific? I know there were automation issues prior to v10.3.4. I work with 9 systems with v10.3.4 and none of those users are complaining about automation breakpoints being all over the place.

Hi, When I installed 10.3.4 whenever I copy and pasted any audio it would also write pan and volume automation all over the pace as I was copy and pasting, so I uninstalled it and went back to 10.3.3 which I am still on.

If I install 10.3.6 will it be stable and not pasting automation and break point moves on everthing I copy and paste?

The only way to know is to try it. That is not part of my personal workflow so I have not given it a try.

I've installed 10.3.6 and everything seems to be working well so far with that version. Currently installing 11 and everything else that comes with it.

I'lll let you know how everything is going soon.

Pro Tools 10.3.6 working and pro tools 11 working. Only prob is a couple of plugins won't work cause they aren't 64bit, but I expected that to some extent. My main prob though is that MOTU Mach 5 is greyed out and won't work. So I've mailed MOTU to see what they say.

Cheers guys.
