Instead (and now activated by right clicking in the sample display below the mixer channels) it acts as "Input Muting", to be used in conjunction with modern 3rd party audio interfaces (such as a UA Apollo, or Avid's own Mbox 3 that has it's own DSP mixer, and dedicated mixer application), or conventional mixing desk, to allow direct monitoring, without the inconvenience and echo of double monitoring.

hey Karl, been the same behavior since PT10.3.10.613 (the final release) ..

i found this .. i use 3rd party interface .. i never expected it, so never use it ..

keep turning the volume up on the mic pre and tap the mic, you might have to tap the mic hard, until you hear the sound coming through

Default Low latency monitoring, no sound in PT12,help?!

I had to the mess with auto/input monitoring only and place a little, might been the record button too, but I got it to work!
