NuBus system issues - CDR, TDM, Etc.

Does anyone have any experience with using Quadra 950 and CD burners? Any scary tales or good ideas? I understand that most CD burners work well running off the SCSI chain so I guess it would be OK. Any dissenters?

What is the best source for tricking out an old system like that? The TDM thing seems to have been superceded by PCI...there must be some old gear out there waiting to be snapped up...any sources?
