2 major crashes so far in a morning of working, just doing normal stuff. 2018.7 was solid for me until I encountered a problem with Strip Silence, and foolishly thought updating might help. I'll see how it carries on, 1 more crash and I think I'll roll back.

Built a new High Sierra partition and loaded 2018.12 and have no major issue to report....so far.

no real change here, except for the claim about the CPU overload/HW sample rate error being repaired, still appears to be a problem for me.

Adding a bit of clarity to my earlier post: the sluggishness is affected by the number of active plugins. This wasn't the case with 2018.8. Smaller sessions have a smooth GUI. And having a plugin like Omnisphere open will force the entire DAW to respond more slowly. Level indicators run at about 5 FPS and even the mouse lags. Again, this is with larger sessions with hungry VIs and latent plugins like Weiss, El Rey and FabFilter Q3 in Linear Mode.
