Default Using Plug-Ins To Collaborate Long Distance...

Source Connect now has a VST plug-in.

And Digital Musician has a VST and RTAS plug-in as well as two other pieces of software here and here.

I know Source Connect is quite good. Does anyone have any experience with the Digital Musician plug-in?

Thanks,

I've wondered about this as well. Wouldn't there be latency issues?

From past experience I can tell you that, if you are lucky, you could probably hook up with some really good "profesional" people that "Indeed" want to collaborate.

I know Rail - in Los Angeles - was a beta tester for the Source-Connect plug-in and did a 2 hour session with another Forum memember/beta tester in Australia and they stated it was flawless with full duplex. Source-Connect now has a VST version, which, while not the all-out Pro version, will do the job and allows people without Pro Tools to hook up with people who do. Obviously both need to have the plug-in too.

I was really wondering how the Digital Musicians plug-ins worked or might work for doing voiceovers long distance instead of using ISDN. I was hoping someone on the forum might have used them.

Thanks,
