You are sayign if the ProJectMix is connected tht Pro Tools starts up OK? If so hold down the 'N' key there and report back what shows up as playback engine options.

Try trashing prefs (see "Help Us Help You" link up top of this page).

How about some basic info, like the exact model Mac (date code and exact model number), exact version of OS X, etc.

What *exact* version of Pro Tools?

And oh Jesus why are you posting about Mac problems in a DUC Windows forum (could a moderator please move this thread).

We can't see those screen shots, you are posting links to files on your local computer.

Use the paperclip "attach files" button in the toolbar above the DUC post edit window.

Your problem is you are running Pro Tools MP9, very different than Pro Tools 9. MP9 is a feature-stripped version of Pro Tools that is tied to particular hardware, in your case the Project Mix. You cannot use that with Built-In Output or most other interfaces (only those that came with MP9).

Probably time to upgrade Pro Tools.

That makes sense, i'll upgrade to PT 10 as long as it works with the Projectmix!

Thanks for all of your help on this matter!
