Default Sessions over ethernet?

There are several threads on this topic but most are really dated and things have changed quite a bit

Now that Gigabit Ethernet along with SSD's have matured, is this a better possibility with Pro Tools 10/11 non HD?

I have played around with this and it seems to work just fine BUT I have not tried it with VE Pro and heavy editing/VI's saturating the bandwidth between the 2 networked computers

I know there are LOTS of people here more savvy with this than me that could offer some insight

Thanks!
