Pro Tools 8 LE Re-Install Issue

I have been using my Pro Tools for a few months now and slowly started having problems so I decided to uninstall my PT and reinstall it. When I tried to reinstall my PT I got the following text.

"The Installer could not install the software."
"The Installer could not install the software becuase there was no software found to install."

I don't know what happened but I've only used this disk once to originally install it. I also tried my friends PT8 disk and I got the same message.

Any suggestions?

and post a Sandra report and tell us what interface you have.

Also, note that many PT8 disks were bad and plenty of folks needed to download the installer. Assuming you registered with Avid/Digidesign, log onto your MyAvid account(from the main avid.com page) and navigate to My Products and Downloads. In there you should find your authorization code(a handy thing to have) and links to download the installer.
