Default What licenses are required to sell my CDs?

I will be making CDs and I want to know what licenses are needed to sell them to stores and over the internet?

What do you mean by licenses?If your selling your own original material you don't need a license.If your selling cover material you will need to get clearance from the copyright holders. Check out this site. Licenses

If your selling your own original material make sure you have some sort of copyright protection in place.A good place to find information, is your performing rights organization [BMI,ASCAP etc,]depending on what country you are in.

Other than maybe a business license so that you will do your taxes, I don't know of any.

Join a performing rights organization, register your songs with them. Copyright the songs. In addition to that, you'll probably need a bar code. If it's all your own material, that's probably all you need. If anyone besides you had any creative input (writing, arranging or production), you should have a contract with them defining royalty distribution.
