Memory Location Combination
Digi can you look into giving us the ability to combine a memory location snapshot with another one?
Example: In memory location 20 I have set up only my drums tracks to be visible. In location 21 only my bass tracks. If I want to see both of them now I have to go to one of them and manually select the tracks of the other one on the left. What if the way I do "dot - number - dot" to get to a location, I could do "dot - number - plus" to add those tracks from that memory location on to my existing view. If the newly visible tracks are above or below my existing visible tracks they will show up above or below respectively. Maybe even "dot - number - minus" to remove tracks? Does this make sense? Thoughts? |

Re: Memory Location Combination
I like it. I'd prefer if you could hold down Shift when you type the following mem loc, like you can with markers to extend a selection.

Re: Memory Location Combination
I agree with the above two posts. I was trying to do this by holding down shift and clicking on the next memory location and was sad it didn't work.

Re: Memory Location Combination
I like the shift idea too although in my head you could it all through the numeric keyboard with one hand.

Re: Memory Location Combination
Sure, I can see that. Shift is kinda like "extend" in PT speak, so I think Shift + Mem loc would be consistent with what already exists in PT. Also, dot - number - + creates a new Window configuration as of now.

Re: Memory Location Combination
You could always add the bass tracks from 21 to loc 20 and then create location 22.

Re: Memory Location Combination
"Shift" already works with mem locations if you use the mem location for an actual transport position...
Let's say mem location 20 is 02:21 and mem loc 21 is 3:12. [numeric keypad] dot-2-0-dot <hold down shift> dot-2-1-dot Depending on the parameters set in the mem loc, your selection will now be from mem 20 to mem 21. So the paradigm works for timeline (it does what is expected -- if you click with cursor at a point them shift-click another point, it will select the region, right?) Shouldn't the paradigm also work out of the box for selected tracks?
