Yeah with expansions. Without them our SSD5.5 folder is under 20GB.

I've thought about trying the SSD5 Free to get a taste of it. I have so many drum VI's now, I'm not sure why I need another one! Between all of them I probably have the equivalent of 1,000 kits!

What does SSD offer that isn't available with, say, Strike, or Transfuser, or Reason Kong? They all allow you to import your own samples, and do all kinds of tweaking of each individual sample to create your kits. Not being a drummer, I'm probably not the best person to asses the merits or lack thereof for the different drum VI's.

What impressed me about SSD5 was they just sounded pretty darn good right from the get-go, without oodles of tweaking.

For example, about 1 minute in here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload...ature=youtu.be

Horses for courses, I quickly add, as tweaking is where many get their jollies.
For non-drummers like myself, SSD5 seems a nice addition to Strike and Ezy Drummer 2

Take’em for a spin – the price is right!
