Default Is delay compensation the/a cause for video engine problems?

Hello folks,

I don't know if this has been brought up before, I couldn't find anything searching...

Just today I noticed a problem with my video sync, checked options and saw that ADC was off. Switched it on and bam: play, stop and then the video continued to roll... my dreaded video engine issue.
Granted, I'm on Win7 on this system, but maybe this is (one of?) the cause(s) for all the trouble we are having?

Maybe not...
Avid, you might want to investigate, just in case?

Andrew
