Default The Lost Files

I'm getting to know LE and I seems to have a problem with finding the files that I recorded with Pro Tools outside of the program. I would like to take a track for instance and use it in another program for converting and quick editing without have to bounce. Where do these files go, I had to search for a file on the C drive. I found it finally and realized that it recorded left and right channels seperately. What do you recommend? Thank you.

I'd recommend
- the "File Management" lesson under http://www.digidesign.com/disk/diskflix/
- exploring the Region List popup menu (click on frame above the list), especially the 'Export Regions as Files' option described on P.131 of the Reference Manual
- never mentioning a C drive in a Mac forum
