venue ilok driver update?

hi!

any body knows if i have to update the venue ilok driver due to the new ilok software? the thing is i recently purchased a license (mc2000, a couple of days ago) which is not recognized by the desk but the ilok software is listing the license properly.

as well as i cant find the diver on the ilok side anymore. i know it usually comes inside the tdm-plugin folder of the plug it self, but i guess it would be more reliable to have the latest update from the ilok side.

This is interesting.. if they have taken down all the previous drivers do we now need to install Ilok License Managers on VENUE consoles? Sheldon ? Chris?

indeed! a good question. I was thinking the same for a moment, but as it is so buggy right now and basically just works with an internet connection, i would like to not have it on my desk :)

but back to my problem, iLok support said (which was super fast responding +1) that it might corrupted while being transferred to the iLok. A Sync/Repair should work in this case. Well, it cleaned up the whole iLok from recent demo Licenses and looks confident.

Can't test it right now because the desk is in truck but I will report as soon as possible.

Hi xcx,

We are not recommending to install the iLok License Manager application on any VENUE system at this time.

We are working with PACE to restore the link to the old iLok driver installer for Windows. It is occasionally necessary to run this driver installer manually on the VENUE system (after installing McDSP v5 for example). I will update this thread once the driver is available again.

ok the license issue got fixed by sync/repair function of the new ilok manager. like the ilok support suggested. yeah!

Greeting everyone,

I'm digging up an old thread here, but I'm having an issue with the ilok for my S3L. I added the Multiband Dynamics and Sub Harmonic authorizations and now my ilok authorization is freaking out. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thank you for your replay. I wan't sure we could do that on Venue systems. I'll connect the E3 engine to the internet and give it a shot.
