Default Can 32 sample buffers be used with any interface?

Am seriously looking at Protools 9 (Non HD) for by B-rig, using a presonus 26/26 interface.

One question, with Logic I can use a 32 sample buffer with no problems. Feels much like TDM in most respects.

Can PT 9 go this low with any interface ?

If it can't is there still an advantage to using Digidesign branded interfaces such as the 003?

cheers all

I think this depends on your interface (please correct me if im wrong), i have a profire 2626 and this only goes down to 128. Im sure the new mboxes will. Also looking through the PDF you can go up to 192kHz sample rate. My profire can do this but PT9 does not allow me to do it, only 96kHz. Although im betting the mbox Pro can.

Default Re: Can 32 sample buffers be used with any interface?

Guys, with my profire lightbridge, if I set it up to use the Pro Tools aggregate I/O driver engine (with it as the only device) I get access to 64 sample latency, which I think is the lowest for that device in any app. Using the Profire Lightbridge as the engine results in minimum 128 sample option.

I expect aggregate device is core audio, and profire lightbridge is the old m-powered driver.

I am also interested if any devices other than Digi ones ate supporting 32 sample latencies?

Hope this is helpful to someone!
Jason

It would be nice to have a sticky thread with users posting different setups and sample buffers settings. I would add to it.
