Sonoma Safe on Intel Mac Pro?
I'm wondering if there are users here that is on a Mac Intel on Sonoma?
Is it functioning properly with PT 2024.3? Thanks!

Re: Sonoma Safe on Intel Mac Pro?
It totally is. Your milage may vary but I trust it totally on Intel, at least that my experience. Make sure you turn off all of the perviously mentioned peripheral bloat and you'll be fine. Also clear your plugin cache and let it rediscover.

Re: Sonoma Safe on Intel Mac Pro?
Hey! I totally don't bother mapping any of the vintage keyboards. Performances are tracked live. For mapping and deep midi work I use soft synths. Best of both worlds and the contrast stands out.

Re: Sonoma Safe on Intel Mac Pro?
i get totally random crashes every so often on sonoma 14.3.1 with pt 23.21.1 and 24.3 doesnt matter the version, without any warning, so i try to hit save with every big move.

IK products still do that to me from time to time even with 64 GB. Otherwise it's very smooth sailing on my intel rig. Try the usual, clear caches and prefs. If that does not help, the old standby- dump out your plugin folder and add a few back at a time to find the culprit. Also sounds like you tricked your rig to install 14 on an unsupported machine. That could be an issue as well. Been there done that. Avoiding the time burn above, I'd start with cleaning plugin cache and let PT rediscover, it may complain and then you'll have your answer.

Re: Sonoma Safe on Intel Mac Pro?
I think I'll stick to Ventura for now. Not having any major issues at the moment.

https://avidtech.my.salesforce-sites...rue&popup=true PT has a list of issues they've outlined. I particularly don't like the high core count issue on Intels. I'll wait, Ventura runs great and it's still supported by Apple with incremental security patching.
