Default Addictive Drums

Just got addictive drums a few weeks ago. For the price really like
the sounds & it's easy to use. I would like to be able to trigger
the sounds with some old Simmons pads I have. I've been looking
at the Alesis IO (Benoni I noticed you're using this) do you think
this would work with my old Simmons pad as triggers? I'm not talking
about using the Simmons controller just the pads. I'm on a limited
budget so I'm trying to use what I can. Of course I'll have to spring
for some cymbals & hi-hat pedals. What do you think?

Acoustic Kit:
Gretsch Renown Maple
8, 10, 12, 14 toms
22 bd
14 Yamaha Maple snare (couldn't part with it!)
Assorted Zildjian cymbals
Love this kit...
