Problems with installing PTLE8

Hello,
I´ve been using my Laptop (HP nx6110) maybe arround 3 years for ProTools LE. `I never had any problems with different installation and using PT.
I am using WinXP Home, SP3 and a Box- Micro.
Now, after downloading PT8, installing and restarting my computer I get different errors:
1. Registering DigiMIDIServices resolves "PACERegister returned an error. Error: 3"
2. Registering DigiRefClock resolves "PACERegister returned an error. Error: 3"
3. Registering DigiSync Reader resolves "PACERegister returned an error. Error: 3"
4. Unregistering CD-Ripping service resolves "Could´nt launch DigiSPTI Service Error: -1"
5. Registering CD- Ripping service resolves "Could´nt launch DigiSPTI Service Error: -1"
If I click everytime "OK" Windows seems to working normal, but if I want to launch ProToolsLE I get the following error message: "Diese Anwendung konnte nicht gestartet werden, weil die Anwendungskonfiguration nicht korrekt ist.." This is similar to the "application couldn't be started" message.
I made a clean uninstal of PT, reinstalled it, but every time i get the same errors.
If I try a new installation of PTLE7.4 which worked great on this system I also get the "application couldn't be started" message.
I know my german OS is not truly supported, but if there´s is someone who have an idea that could help me, that would be great.

I'm havin the same problem but I get an english message telling me about an application error 00000010 or something like that.. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling PT a few times, updated all my drivers, formatted the HD and reinstalled Win XP Pro, etc.. I think that I've traced it to my pc being outdated.. (I was using an old AMD XP 3200+) So, the $200 upgrade to PT8 ends up costing me around $1500. I'm still waiting on my parts to come in.. Hopefully that will solve the problem lol.

to bring in up to front: the computer is not the problem- everything went fine with 7.4

same here. i had no problems with any version of pt7.

Did you try downloading and installing the latest PACE drivers from http://www.paceap.com/ as well as making sure ALL installed plug-ins are the minimum version required for Pro Tools 8 compatibility?

That was the first that I did as I saw these errors.
The interesting thing is that I can install PTLE7.4 without launching the PACE and the DigiSPTI- errors after restarting, but getting the "application couldn't be started" ("Diese Anwendung konnte nicht gestartet werden...") message too for now.
I did a deep search into Google and found a potentially problem with the C++ programming. Could there be an incompatible Microsoft update on my machine?

For all how have problems with unpacking the downloaded files (winrar- errors) and guys like me:
After 4 times of downloading the whole package I went to a dealer and got a DVD- installer. What should I say: it works without problems...
