Nektar Impact LX88+ or M-Audio Oxygen 88?
Hi All,
Has anyone here used either the Nektar Impact LX88+ or the M-Audio Oxygen 88 to control PT transport and/or VI controls? I'm using PT 12.x on Mac and I'm looking for a semi-weighted 88-key controller. M-Audio Keystation 88 ticks the semi-weighted 88-key box, but has no DAW controls, and I'm wondering if it's worth spending more on a controller that might not play well with PT. The Nektar site has a page devoted to PT integration: http://www.nektartech.com/s.nl/ctype....f?category=25 which looks like fun (I love my Presonus Faderport, after jumping through some hoops with firmware etc., so this is isn't totally daunting). The M-Audio boasts PT integration out-of-the-box: http://www.m-audio.com/products/view3/oxygen-88 - but it's fully-weighted rather than semi-weighted. So I'd go for the Nektar *if* I was confident it would talk to PT nicely. Or maybe, as has been suggested elsewhere here, I'll just use a different DAW for capturing MIDI performances! Thanks Richard |
