ProTool LE 7.4 on Vista Mbox(original) hardware not found
I recently upgraded my computer and am running on a Vista OS. I have istalled ProTools LE and when I try to load the program it says "Unable to locate digidesign hardware, make sure your hardwar is connected and turned on. Click 'ok' when the hardware is ready.
Not sure what to do because the hardware is connected. Its an Mbox (original) and it is connected to the computer but all of the lights are lit up. I've tried updating the drivers but it seems everything is up to date. not sure how to fix, please help!

If all the lights are lit up, that is an indication that the mbox is stuck in firmware update mode.
Try running the firmware updater: C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Pro Tools\Pro Tools Utilities\MboxfirmwareUpdater.exe
