Default Pro Tools 10.1 crashes-import audio from CD

Config...Asus P6X motherboard with: Intel I7 970 3.2GHz, 12GB memory,
Avid approved NVidia graphics card & Apple monitor, 600GB Veloceraptor system HD,
2 Hitachi 2TB data HD's, Avid HD Native Card with 3 96 I/O interfaces, 1 UAD-2 solo card,
W7 64.
System works beautifully, without any hiccups, except that when trying to import audio from a CD, Pro Tools crashes hard, with the 'stopped working' message.
I tried with 2 different DVD burners, and a Blu-Ray burner (all SATA).
Other apps (Sony Vegas Pro & Windows Media Player) import the audio fine.
Any suggestions, anyone?
Thanks

Not a fix, but a potential workaround. Can you convert the CD material to .wav and import into PT?

Soon each function in PT needs a workaround using some other software Now, after a year using PT on Win I would not recommend doing that to anyone, this is a seriously buggy combination.

same problem here...started after I installed 10.1(from 10).
I can, however, play back CD audio from the workspace.
