Yes, I'm all for PT11's fresh start (apart from the CPTK issue). The ditching of RTAS will be well worthwhile IMO if the new AAE and 64bit AAX facilitate the performance improvements that Avid says PT11 has.

We can always load up 10 when we need to use any RTAS plugins that aren't ported to AAX.

10 bounce - 11 import - it's a drag while all come on board but - should be worth it

I doubt that its possible without AVID's blessing, but there could be a lot of money out there for a developer who could create a wrapper for RTAS to AAX in Protools 11.

Maybe TransVST will be released, that was if your RTAS plug-ins are also available as VST (which most are) you can use them PT 11.

I remember the big fuss when they said SD2 files wouldn't work anymore. Now look where we are.

Yeah they shot down FXPANSION's request so I don't think it's happening

Here is the Avid wrapper: 10, able to run RTAS, is wrapped in the package with 11.

Yes! +1/2/3/4/5 to that

Why is it always the same song with a new PT release? I gotta say it..

If you can't accept the new features and all that comes with these upgrades, Get another DAW! Rtas and tdm are dead and gone in PT11 BUT you still have PT10 and that works with both.

Stop poluting this forum as this is becomming a joke! So many threads about the same stuff and usually they start out with a question but evolve into something rotten. All the "new" accounts who is just here to bitch isn't right..

I can't believe more of the "regulars" here say more than you do to this problem as it looks really bad to new users who comes here to PARTICIPATE in possitive postings

Naw it won't stop - been like that for years - but it's all right - people who like PT use it and are happy for the most part

Got it! Just gonna have to adjust and accept it then or look elsewhere when we need to talk about PT without the select few that just can't accept that it is 2013 and that the audio market is evolving and PT along with it.. thank God

Best
