Default Not Normal Latency.......Help!

Ok so I have been running sessions all week, no problems what so ever, except this one session that has latency.

I lowered my buffer rate all the way down to 64, clicked the "low latency monitoring" tab, removed plug ins.....etc etc etc. All the normal fixes, but still I am having the following problems.

- When punching in a take I can hear the person singing before I've hit the punch button ( so i hear the old take and the new one below it)

- The singer is on time with the music during the recording, but when I playback they are late so I have to slide over the take to line up with the music.

Like I said, I've tried everything that usually works with latency issues, but this one is a doosey!

Running:

Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 for Windows 7 (running in XP Service Pack 2 Mode)
Dell XPS Studio i7 Core Processor, 4GB RAM
Waves Mercury
iZotope Vinyl
AiR Plugins
IK Multimedia (various plugs)

If any more info is need just ask!

Thanks
d

Default Re: Not Normal Latency.......Help!

Any plugins on the master fader? What are the latency readings on all your tracks(you know about the Ctrl-click on the numbers on the MIX windows strips that default to show the fader setting)?? If you see any tracks showing more than 64 samples, then probably a plugin is causing timing issues doe to its inherent latency(some plugins have little to no latency, and others have several thousand samples which can throw timing out the window)
