I'm kind of Confused on inputs!

Yesterday I was tracking out a song I made, and when I got to the 6th track It seem slike there were no more inputs to assign my nex track to. I renamed them all, and when I clicked on input only thise names cam up. Do I need to create more paths in the I/O setup for more tracks? i hope I explained this OK. Thanks in advance!!!

You can go to the I/O setup and press the "Default" button. That will automatically add inputs (or outputs...dpends which tab you're in) corresponding to all the I/O of your hardware piece.

I have everything going into a M-Audio Delta 44 from the ALT 3/4 of my mixer. Everything is going in the 1 and 2 inputs. Would I just create new paths in the I/O with just the 1 and 2 inputs. Delta card only has 4 inputs on it. I have nothing plugged into the 3rd and 4th input. Thanks!!!
