Possible Create Template Bug In 2024.3...

Latest Windows 10 and Pro Tools 2024.3.

I have blank sessions I keep to make/change Templates from. I keep the current Templates in a folder on my Desktop and choose that location when changing a Template, overwriting the old one. Yesterday, in 2024.3, I needed to change a few of my Templates, made changes in a session, saved as Template, overwrote the previous - and an empty folder with the same name as the Template was also created. I did not check "Include Media", which would create a folder.

Anyone else seeing this?

I just noticed the exact same behavior on Mac.

I did it twice because I thought I accidentally selected copy media. A blank folder with the template name was created.

Sounds like a bug to me.

Thanks, I got an email from Avid Support. There's really no more to this than an empty folder is created with the Template's name when a Template is created. Not a deal breaker, I just delete the empty folder. It's like "Include Media" is checked when it isn't. The Template is created and the empty folder is created at the same time.
