That should have done it. Hmmm....was just looking at the driver page. Are you using the 11.1 driver? It says:

Mac OS X 10.9, 10.9.1 Mavericks support only
Mac OS X 10.9 requires Pro Tools 11.0.3 or higher
Mac OS X 10.9.1 requires Pro Tools 11.1.2 or higher
Support for 003 Rack and Console

Wondering if going to Pro Tools 11.1.2 would solve this?

I have tried just about everything to get the 003 console to respond but still nothing. I have tried older versions of pro tools (10) and the same outcome. I tried to install the latest version of PT 11.1 but I get install errors which I have seen others getting so I don't need any more headaches. Ive just about resigned myself to the fact that I now have a 003 console just working as a 003 rack.

If anyone has had this issue I would greatly appreciate your advice.
Just to recap. the console will host but will not come to life and work as a console. Im running PT 11.02 and Mavericks on an iMac. I have tried different drivers with no success.

I'm having the same problem, yet I'm using a PC.
PT 11 was working with the digi 003 fine for the last year.
Made ZERO changes to hardware or to software, just stopped working one day.
Reinstalled drivers multiple times.
PT 10 is still working fine with the 003.

I'm having a similar problem with my digi 003. All was fine and then I did an OS software update from 10.9.3 to 10.9.4 and the 003 hasn't worked since.

Just to be clear ... do you have Pro Tools 10 and 11 co-installed?

If so, you need to install both the 003 driver for PT10 and for PT11.

The PT10 driver shows up in Pro Tools as '003', while the PT11 driver shows up as 'Avid 003'.

Select the correct one in each version of Pro Tools.

I do know that if you mistakenly select '003' in PT11, the 003 passes audio but the control surface is dead.

Unfortunately (for you) and maybe fortunately (for me) I've avoided Mavericks.

The above scenario is working well for me on Mountain Lion 10.8.5
