Default Xcode and Pro Tools
are anyone having good or bad experiences with having these two programs installed on the same drive?. does avid have recommendations regarding it?

I don't know about any specific recommendations, but I've had them co-installed for ages without a problem.

Ditto, no problems here for quite some time now. OSX 10.8, Pro Tools 10.3.7.
