Clicks when analog recording using 003+Mac+PT 7.4! Help me!!
I recently upgraded my old 002 for a brand new 003 mixer factory!
Everything was ok except that I can't record any analog audio tracks! When a rec enable any audio track, digital clicks, like those found on clock issues, start randomly! Pleas help me! The system is absolutely the same I had with 002, wich didn't have this problem! Thanks in regards! My system: Digi003 Mixer + MacBook Pro 2.33/2gb + Lacie Big Disk FW800 HD + ProTools 7.4 |

Re: Clicks when analog recording using 003+Mac+PT 7.4! Help
I am having exactly the same problem and need an answer also. I upgraded from the Digi002 to Digi003 control surface using 7.4LE software. I have a PowerMac G5 Quad 2.5ghz with Lacie 500gb Hard Drives. I get pops on almost all input channels including s/pdif but no pops on inputs 1&2. I get pops while in record and out of record. I connected everything exactly the same as with the 002. Did you get it solved? If so, please tell me how? I'm going crazy with this.

Re: Clicks when analog recording using 003+Mac+PT 7.4! Help
Hi All,
I'm also experiencing this issue.. I'm setting up a new Tools system for a local school. New iMac (running Tiger) and 003 Factory both fresh out of the box. Upgraded the 003 firmware during initial setup and upon testing we got identical sounding/looking clicks at random, though generally pretty large intervals. As far as I can tell I'm also getting them on every analog input except 1&2.. Will be testing the ADAT ins later today. Has anyone managed to sort this one out yet? My gut is telling me it might be related to the looooong firewire cable that came with the 003 but that wouldn't explain why 1&2 appear to be fine... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'll be sure to update on any progress. Cheers, Dan [edit: will update more detailed set-up/version info later in the day] |

Re: Clicks when analog recording using 003+Mac+PT 7.4! Help
Dear all,
I'm from Hong Kong. The studio where I'm working in has recently bought a 003 Factory. We are also having the same problem. We used the same setting before with 001 but didn't have this problem. However, we got clicks/pops when we used the 003 to record audio. We had tried to connect one input only(e.g. analog input 6) and disconnected all other lines but stilling having the same problem. We really need help! |

Re: Clicks when analog recording using 003+Mac+PT 7.4! Help
If you're getting clicks on input during record and you've tried all the standard troubleshooting AND you're clock is set to internal, you should contact tech support by phone for further troubleshooting, so that they can diagnose if a repair is in order or not.
Is everyone here using FW800 drives? How many tracks are in your session? |

Re: Clicks when analog recording using 003+Mac+PT 7.4! Help
i have 003 7.4.
I have g5 with two hard disks internal, running ok (apart from missing plugins ;-) ) Just this week...... However I bought a 500gb lacie external drive specifically to use as music drive this week strangely I noticed straight away there was some noisy elements occurring dont know where or why? but I went back to recording on the second hard disk (internal) and it returned to normal. The only difference I assume being that the lacie is a usb device 480bps 7200rpm |

What do you mean 'Is everyone here using FW800 drives?'?
Should we use FW800 drives? |
