I agree but we must first understand that Avid is having a time keeping up with PT itself, making it stable as an environment

Not to mention Eucon, Media Composer and Sibellius.

So yes I think they should make more plugins...the software would be much more stable using only Avid plugs, without a doubt.

But I don’t honestly think that they can handle the job.....

It seems to the uneducated casual observer (myself) that they don’t put enough money/time into the development/maintenance side of their coding.

Examples include - strike, structure, and many other VI’s that floundered for quite some time before they had maintenance updates..and were eventually sold.

No.Perhaps in 12.9?

But there are some nice small new functions befitting of a 12.8.x release

The big is: But, have they fixed all the bugs first before adding new things that can go wrong?

I hate it when the marketing people list the new features. It would be nice if they were in English instead of marketing-speak.

Keep in mind that's a press release. We've been posting Release Notes for each 12.x update which should be more beneficial for users.

Some decent stuff but far short of what we need to make midi as easy to work with as audio. Is this what the MIDI improvement that have been touted as coming this year add up to?

SO I guess this all mean PT13 is not here just yet. Thats good for me, surprised they didn't release for Christmas so maybe another year but there have been releases before then and were getting late in the numbers so I doubt i will take that long
