Recording with a DI, setting the levels.
Hey everybody, got a general question about recording bass into my 001. I have an active DI box which takes the 1/4" cable from the bass and outputs to a pre-amp on the 001. Now that gives me 3 places where I can set the volume; the bass, the DI, and the pre-amp. What is the best way to get a good, clean signal into PT in this situation.
I assume that the DI controls, which allow me to cut the attenuation by 0, 20 or 40 db, is only really used when I'm taking in a line level signal, so I probably can leave that at -0db. |

Re: Recording with a DI, setting the levels.
Bass full on
D.I. full on adjust gain to taste(since you said active d.i. it will probably good and hot) if it's putting out pro +4 level signal, gain all the way down w/-26db pad engaged. should be sassy. |
