G3 doesn't see Motu Micro Express Serial interface
Looking for some help w Serial-era Mac MIDI gear - thanks!
I'm trying to run some legacy software on a Mac G3 Wallstreet Powerbook 233Hz OS 9.2.2 and the computer isn't seeing the MIDI interface (Motu Micro Express, Serial non-USB). It's connected by DIN 8 Appletalk serial cable to the powerbook's Modem/Printer port. I installed OMS 2.3.8, restarted, installed FreeMIDI 1.48, restarted. Opened FreeMIDI and selected OMS compatibility, then OMS Setup and started a New Setup. I've tried selecting both Modem and Printer, and also just selecting printer.. when it scans it doesn't see the interface. Also I use ProTools Free.. any help would be greatly appreciated!! |
