question about plugins
I have a 001 running in os 9 on a G4 933. I have have 512 ram right now and I was wondering if adding more ram woould help with the plug in count. I always seem to be coming up a few short in my mixes.

Re: question about plugins
plugins uses both ram and cpu... instrument plugings definatly use up the ram fairly quickly, but cpu is where they put the most drain. ram upgrades are cheap thou so go for it. you should get an inprovement!

Re: question about plugins
Have you increased the RAM allocations for PT and DAE? If you haven't, adding more RAM would be a waste.
I;d recommend more RAM, as you can't overdose on RAM. Increase your allocations to 250mb for PT and 200 for DAE, and you should see improvements. experiement with RAM allocations to find the best settings for your machine |
