Default 001 Cue Mix Routing Question

I've tried many ways, but cannot get a cue mix that will do what I want it to. Here is what I have and here is what I want. PLEASE HELP!
I'm running a 933G4 with PTle 5.2, a Control24 (I don't have time for the LE/C24 discussion...I love it), a Behringer headphone amp, and a bunch of other gear that should be irrelavant.
With the C24, PT outputs 1&2 go to my main monitors (Mackie HR824) and 7&8 go to my alt monitors (NS-10s). The C24 has a stereo aux in/out which is where the talkback is introduced into the signal. What I did was setup an aux send to PT outputs 3&4, put those into the C24 aux in, and send that to the headphone amp. Problem is you cannot use aux sends while recording in low latency. Also, I have PT outputs 5&6 setup to be independent cue sends so the artist can blend whatever I put on those into the mix sent on 3&4.
Please let me know if anyone has found a setup that works for my needs.
Thanks,
Reid

You might want to consider a small mixer for hp monitoring. No latency involved. Behringer makes some cheapo ones that for this use work good.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks, but the Behringer I have is the Powerplay Pro which is an amp and stripped down mixer.
I need help getting the signal to the amp/mixer without latency. What would I come out of (hardware)? How would I send it there from inside PT?
Thanks to anyone who can help (and even those who try)

Route tracks to the 8 analog outs, connect the analog outs 1-8 to the mixer.

Hope this is helpful.

if you are not using outboard mic0pres then you may want to try making up some y-cables and sending the why cables to a small mixer for phones. witht he mixer you could also add in some verb or delay via aux send and return. how many mic's will dicate the size of your mixer and in this case size could matter...peace...email me if you need more options...i feel your low latency / aux pain...i use an O2R for routing phones and berhinger powerplays. but i either y-cable or use alternate outputs on mic-pres for no-latency sends...but this means you need a channel for each mic...peace john

Y'ing mics into two mic pre's results in increased s/n and lower impedance levels, which can yield less than desired results.
Hope this is helpful.

Routing to the analog outs sounds good, and I have a Mackie mixer that is unused, but I can only select one output per channel unless I aux send which re-introduces the latency issue.
Am I right???
Side question...does latency become "worse" or longer if there are more plugins or sends dialed in? Or is it just latency/no latency?

Plug ins in RTAS add very minimal latency. So you can use them without much fear. TDM plugs-ins you need to watch out for.

Monitoring latency is a fixed value based on the converters and the buffer settings. As you add more tracks and auxes, etc., the CPU may slow down, but the latency won't increase because of it.

If you must use low latency monitoring, then you can ONLY reap it's benefits using outs 1 & 2. That's it. So unless everyone can agree on getting the same mix, I suggest using the 124 buffer and use auxes to feed various headphone mixes to the analog outs of the 001 (and then to your Control 24). 124 buffer isn't so bad.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I forget the method, but there is a key combo that allows assignment ot multiple outs. Search the DUC or the PT manual for your answer, but the short version is yes you are wrong, you can assign multiple outs to each track.

Hope this is helpful.

Great! I've never been so happy to be wrong!
I can't check now b/c I have a session going, but pressing "Control" while changing an output allows you to keep what is there and add another output. "Control" + "Option" does this for all channels.
Now I can have outputs 3-6 feed the Mackie with it's own mix.
Thanks to everyone involved in solving this problem. I love the DUC!
