MBox Capability w/ Cool Edit/Adobe
I recently purchased an MBox, but my computer is not capable to run Protools LE. As I'm preparing to purchase a new computer, I would like to use the MBox w/ my current Cool Edit software, however I am currently unable to utilize the MBox as an output (playback) or input (recording). Please help me to configure my settings to utilize the MBox as an output and input source w/ my CoolEdit until I obtain my new computer (and am fully able to utilize LE).

You will need to uninstall any and all Digidesign software that you may have already installed and install the 5.3.3 WaveDriver. You will probably also want to read through the MBox WaveDriver Read Me for details on installing and configuring.
