Yeah, this is happening ALL the time here.
I also use a Mac Pro Late 2012 (trashcan) and Monterey Every single time I quit Pro Tools it freezes and I have to force quit Has everyone figured out what is going on?

Personally, I have seen it periodically over many decades.
That being said, I did not see it on my new M1 Max Studio, until I opened a session that was created on my Intel Mac Pro. Now it is a regular occurrence. Coincidence? Perhaps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Same here on a Mac Studio Ultra, using Focusrite hardware instead of Avid. Agree with OP that it's random and usually at the end of the day. Didn't know that it had been reported to Avid as a bug... THANKS for all the updates.
I haven't had the issue on our Mac Pro HDX2 systems, and am assuming this is related to Apple Silicon? Did someone mention that already?
