Default Native Instruments

Is anyone using the NI stuff as RTAS plugins in PT-LE? I see they offer a good deal to buy the entire NI family with quite a large sample library for around $1500. Most interested in finding out if it runs stably within PT-LE. The Mac is plenty powerful - quad-G5 with 4.5GB RAM and multiple hard drives.

thanks
Ian

NI stuff is known for not working well in ProTools, and the Quad G5 also isn't working correctly with ProTools. This could be a mess until (maybe) Digi and NI get things working right.

I have Battery 2 and it works fine, i ocassionally get buffer errors but they are normally at the very start of a session. I've also VST wrapped FM7 express and it works fine too.

My B4 seems to work OK. I had trouble with the Prophet 5 plugin, though.

B4 and my Pro-53 work fine, no memory issues. Battery 2 seems to be more of a memory hog. FM7 seems to run fine for me as well. Hopefully, NI will optimize their plugins for dual processors soon...

I'm using Bandstand with 6.9 and it works fine, I've also used Battery and B4 with no drama's. I haven't loaded PT7 yet to see how NI stuff works with it.

GW - yes, that's the one I'm referring to, plus my own experience trying to get some things to work correctly. Try running multiple instances or multi-channel outputs with the Kontakt family, or B4.

I wouldn't spend $1500 on NI stuff for ProTools use - it's unfortunate that I've spent about $700 before realizing this.
