Left channel click track bleeding into right channel
Hi guys and gals!
I'm having some bleeding issues with my click tracks in Pro Tools and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I have the click track sending to just the left channel by setting the output to Built-In Output 1 (mono). Then I have the backing tracks i.e; vox, guitars, samples, etc, sent to the right channel via Built-In Output 2 (mono). When I listen in Pro Tools with just one earbud in my right ear, I can still hear the click track quietly bleeding through into the right channel, which is what gets sent to FOH. When I bounce the tracks, the only option that seems to split the channels to left and right is by selecting the Interleaved format, however it still bleeds through in the bounced file. Is there any reason why the tracks would still bleed across to the right channel? If so, would you have any suggestions could offer? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Pete.

Re: Left channel click track bleeding into right channel
Just as a test... If you mute the click can you still hear it in the Right channel?
Do you have any plugins on your Master Fader? It might be internal bleed within the plugin? |

Re: Left channel click track bleeding into right channel
Hi Greg,
thanks for the reply. Muting the track mutes it correctly, so I don't hear the bleed through in the right channel either. I don't have any plugins running on the Master Fader track either. The only plugins I have running in the track is the Click Track plugin and an EQ. The backing guitar/vox tracks in the right channel (track 2) do not seem to bleed through into the left channel (track 1). Cheers.

Re: Left channel click track bleeding into right channel
I had a listen through my studio monitors as opposed to headphones directly into my Macbook Pro. It seems that it's an issue with the headphone output jack. I turned off my left monitor and there was no bleed in the right. All is well! Thanks for your help Greg :)
