Xpand Yellow Screen
I've read all of the posts about people having this same problem, updating to 1.0.3 and going about their business.
Unfortunately, I haven't had so much luck with that. I recently updated my ProTools HD system from: a G5 running v8.0.1cs2 on Leopard 10.5.8 to: a Mac Pro Quad 2.66 running PT v8.1.1 on Snow Leopard 10.6.7 I've seen people mention some kind of a Snow Leopard update on here but all I can find are dead links. I downloaded the Xpand update right from it's info page but am still getting the crazy yellow screen. I just haven't seen any posts from anyone with my same system specs that has solved this issue. |

Re: Xpand Yellow Screen
Tried again today. No dice. Updated to 1.0.3, I get sound an all of the menus are clear. The GUI is just distorted and yellow.
Not sure what to do as I've done everything I've found on these forums that people say to do. |

Re: Xpand Yellow Screen
What specific version is your Xpand! plug-in?
We fixed the Xpand link on kb359111 to point to go to a new Xpand downloads page to provide alternate versions of the plug-in. Please let us know if this doesn't help. |

Re: Xpand Yellow Screen
I'm starting to think that I downgraded my Xpand by installing v1.0.3. The more I read on the topic, the more I real realize that Xpand 2.0 was included with ProTools 8. It has been such a long time since I installed version 8 that I can't remember how I ended up with Xpand 2.0 on my last system. I just got some e-mails from Digidesign with links to correct the problem so hopefully that will work. Will post the results when I know.

Re: Xpand Yellow Screen
Ok. That fixed it. I was correct in my earlier assessment. ProTools 8 can't run Xpand 1.0. It includes Xpand 2.0 which I (unknowingly) downgraded to when I ran the installer for it.
Thanks to Digi tech support for the assistance. |
