They won't be able to be used until Avid has released a service update... Celemony being one... It will be interesting to see how other developers chime in over the next few weeks. Hopefully things are addressed quickly. Until then there is 10. (I might use that for a new Hobo Shave jingle...)

Not if all your assets are gone - off your ilok! TOO MANY users have this problem - They are mushrooming across the entire DUC Not Good enough! |

Well I have a similar issue: I surrendered the license, waited, waited … and then I had an apparently empty iLok … 0 instead of 26 licenses shown in the license manager. BUT when I log out, it shows 26 licenses on the iLok. Reading trough all these messages, I consider being a happy person because PT10 is still working. Spending money for an upgrade you cannot use isn’t a good feeling, but it could be worse … ;-)

I tried to uninstall and delete prefs. But not working still. Im on Mac OSX 10.8.4. It was working yesterday on my mac pro studio computer running same OS. These problem are on my macbook pro. Seen some people on gearslutz having the same problem. |

Guys,
first and most important step : ilok support ticket !!! make sure you have one. If the process does not work : make sure you have followed the following EXACT STEPS : 1. Unplug all iLoks from your computer. 2. Reboot 3. Launch iLok License Manager. If you see "operation in progress" immediately upon launching, wait until the message clears before signing in. BE PATIENT. Do not close the application. When the initial operation is finished, sign in. 4. Plug in ONE iLok. 5. Double-click the plugged in iLok in the left-hand location column to open the Details Pane. 6. Click the "Sync/Repair" link, and wait until the process completes. Again, be patient and let it do its job. The progress bar may flicker and at some points it may look like nothing is happening but you need to wait for the confirmation that the process is finished. This may take some time, especially for a first generation iLok. 7. Verify that all expected licenses are now seen on your iLok, or in some cases, a license may be in your account instead of on the iLok. All expired licenses will be moved to your account. If it still does not work - use the ASC support code that you received with your upgrade and create a support case on the avid website in which you list the support ticket info from ilok.com and a brief explanation of what exactly you are seeing on your end. Don't worry about loosing your asc code - you will get one back - mention it in the support case and if you don;t end up getting one back - send me a PM thanks Chris

Things got worse...now i don't have any licenses activated on my ilok key... It's a nightmare with no solution

I've tried utilizing the iLok License Manager [2.0.0.1026] on multiple Macs and can't successfully login to my account. I'm greeted w/the 'The session you were using is no longer valid. Press OK to establish a new session' prompt, I select 'OK', stare at the license manager for a few minutes while it sits there dormant, select 'Sign In', then am greeting w/the same prompt (The session you were using...).
I figured that maybe the app needs to be updated, but checking for application updates reveals the follows: Application Update Error; An error occurred while retrieving application update information. (1) Please try again later or visit the website directly. |

Just so you know, their (iLok) server crashed last night while many of us were in the process of surrendering/activating. For me, I got through the surrender part but the server crashed before I got through the activation part. So now I have no licenses to surrender so the activation part fails. I put a support ticket in with iLok last night but have not heard from them. Greg
