unable to select "find all candidates" in relinking window...
got a relinking weird issues I ran into today, I opened up a session and PT said 3 audio files are missing:
cat.wav dog.L.wav dog.R.wav selected cat, selected "find all candidate" and it found the file and relink just fine, but when I tried to select dog.L.wav, it selected both dog.L.wav and dog.R.wav and "find all candidate" option is grayed out. I then tried the force relinking through dragging from workspace and PT pops up a message saying 1 file at a time only. how do I get around this so I can select just dog.L.wav? |

Re: unable to select "find all candidates" in relinking window...
I had the same problem, and this worked for me:
Open session. "Missing files" pops up. Choose "Manually Find & Relink" Relink window comes up. Choose the "Areas to Search" which you want Click on one of the files in "Select Files to Relink", then select all (Apple + A) Press "Find Links" "Linking Options" pops up. Select "Find By Name", "Match Format", "Match Duration". Click OK (do not select one of the two other "Find .... ") Press "Commit links" Hopefully it works for you too. |

' I've seen, experienced before the .L and .R stuck together and "find all Candidates" grayed out. When that happens, there isn't much to do. |

Re: unable to select "find all candidates" in relinking window...
answering my own question just in case someone else runs into this problem.
I've finally found a workaround for this problem. When it happens, simply drag the two separate .L and .R wav file into the region bin and pro tools will link up the files again. |
